Attire inspiration

We have a long, fun, and event filled weekend planed! Use this as a guide for your packing and shopping before the big trip!

Temperatures will range from the low 70's during the day to the high 50's at night. Streets and the chateau grounds are cobblestone, so chunky heels and practical footwear is a must. 

Friday, Welcome Party out on the town 

After arrival and check in, we’ll make our way into the village of Brantôme. Dinner and drinks will be at the ‘Bar des Amis’ with plenty of opportunity to walk around the town or by the riverside afterwards. 

We’re calling this European Casual, think comfortable neutrals, practical shoes, and a nice coat. Channel your inner Euro-Jake. 

Saturday afternoon, girls and boys day out

After the walk-through rehearsal around noon, those wishing to join will be shuttled away for an afternoon of fun. Girls will be going to a wine tasting and lunch, while the boys head off for a round of golf. Anyone not joining the activities can spend their afternoon on the Chateau grounds or in the village.

For the girls we’re taking inspiration from a French garden party, light fluffy layers, knee or tea length skirts, and aggressive florals optional.

For the boys, well you’re going golfing. That means collared shirts, closed toed shoes, golf pants or shorts, you all know what to do. 

Saturday night, rehearsal dinner

Dinner will be served in the cellar of the Chateau later in the evening. We’re calling the event semi-formal or cocktail attire. Knee or tea length dresses for the ladies, slacks and button downs for the guys with an optional dinner jacket. It might be a little cool in the cellar, so be sure to bring a wrap or light sweater!

Sunday, Wedding Day!

Creative Black Tie leans heavy on the creative here. 
Dress your best in dusty pastels, florals, embroidery, and jewels. The color palette is light and fun. Avoid dark colors and tight fitting clothing (except for the gentlemen, we love a tux with a fun vest). We only get so many excuses in life for a ballgown, this is yours.
